This is a very nice Villeroy & Boch red poppy earthenware teapot from the Art Nouveau era c. 1900.  The eye catching design is hand applied with stencils and this diminutive teapot for one person (pouring one cup of tea) is very unusual in the large range that V & B produced in this pattern. It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or restoration with only even, clean crazing commensurate with its age. It measures 15 cm wide from spout to handle also.
