In this listing we have a super cute handmade baby doll doily. This is just so cute! I believe this is hand made using craft store arms and head. The arms and head are made from vinyl, and the rest is made out of white and green yarn (I am guessing acrylic). It is designed to look like a little baby doll in a large blanket. When at full length, it’s about 10 inches wide and about 12 inches long. The doll has an open mouth and a hand with an extended thumb that they can suck, like a Monchichi. Based on what I know about these dolls, it could be from the 70’s, but could be newer. What a cute kitschy doll! My pictures came out a little yellow, the doll has less of a yellow tint in person.

This doll is in good shape. It will need some cleaning. I didn’t clean it for fear of damaging it. The white yarn looks a little dingy, but the color seems to be pretty uniform, so that just might be the color of the yarn. The yarn is a little fuzzy in places. It’s not terrible, but it just has a lot of little fibers from the yarn. It’s a little linty in places. On the ends of the doll’s feet there are sewn on pom poms, you can see the threads used to sew them on. The doll’s face looks good. The head isn’t connected to the body. It’s held in place by the bonnet. Because of the angle it’s in the bonnet the head hold is visible from some angles. The doll’s hair is a little messy. The doll’s eyebrows are very light colored. The doll’s eyes look good, but there are some minor painting imperfections here and there. The doll’s lips are pretty thin. There are some spots of missing paint, but I am not sure if that’s a painting flaw or wear. There are a couple small black spots on the doll’s face. They are very minor, but they are there. The doll’s hands are nice. The fingers are a little dirty and could use a cleaning. The doll can suck her thumb, but you have to press it into his mouth (his arms are very short) and it pops out very easily. Please examine all pictures to see the exact condition of this doll and please keep in mind some issues are more visible in person compared to pictures.
