"Altman's grueling, noir-tinged story of the last days of humanity in a world where words like "friend" and "hope" are obsolete certainly isn't what I'd call a fun watch, but it certainly is a rewarding one, challenging the audience with an almost mocking tone to puzzle it all out for themselves, to search for meaning where there isn't necessarily any. Made a big mistake watching this in the heat of summer- the frozen-over locations and the icy, isolating cinematography make this a perfect wintery hot-cocoa movie. Highly recommended, but save it for a cold night." -Letterboxd
