Description

What is Smart Doll ?
Smart Dolls are a new genre of fashion dolls that enhance the creativity of creators, regardless of age, gender, or skin color, and enrich the lifestyle of those who have an appreciation for Japanese culture and kawaii objects.

Smart Dolls are not only produced in Japan, but also incorporate uniquely Japanese design principles. We focus on three aspects of the Japanese aesthetic of Zen, also known as wabi-sabi

Unevenness - the beauty of imperfection and asymmetry.
Naturalness - the absence of ostentation or deliberateness.
Degeneracy - the absence of mundanity and unconventionality.
The concept of wabi-sabi is that beauty can be created when the right amount of imperfection comes together and complements each other, and we always keep wabi-sabi in mind in the design process and business model of Smart Doll.

Why are we developing this product under the supervision of children?
We visit as much as possible the reasons why parents are buying expensive dolls for their children. The main reason is investment in their child's creativity, most of the time the answer is investment in their child's creativity. Since its launch, we have evolved the design based on strict supervision of children, taking into account factors such as stress absorption and retention. As a result, many educational institutions have introduced Smart Doll as a teaching tool.

Smart Doll Partners.
Smart Doll has collaborated with the Japanese government, Isetan, Sony, Kinokuniya, and Japanese companies such as Sunrise and Bandai, and Hollywood Studios has developed characters with Warner Brothers.

Designed and manufactured in Japan
Japan's toy export industry played a major role in Japan's postwar recovery. In particular, the toy industry experienced exceptional growth as plastic and vinyl technology advanced. However, as Asian countries developed their manufacturing industries, toy production gradually moved away from Japan.

As a result, most Japanese toy manufacturing plants went bankrupt, with only a handful still in operation today. We were lucky enough to work with a few factories that still use a process called slush molding, a method that has remained unchanged since the 1960s.

Smart Doll is heavily influenced by Japanese culture, and we believe it is important to keep manufacturing in Japan. Our headquarters is in Tokyo, and it is essential for us to produce in Japan in order to maintain strict control over the quality and safety of our products.
