Vintage Speed-X Telegraph Key Morse Code Device. The base is a thin laminated board that measures 3 1/4" square; it weighs 4 ounces total. Looks fine - see detailed photos.

The Speed-X telegraph name may have originated at Electro Mfg. Co. in Fresno, California, which produced the Electro-Bug. In 1947, Les Logan sold the Speed-X line to E.F. Johnson Co. of Waseca, Minnesota. Some believe that E.F. Johnson manufactured the Speed-X after 1947. The deluxe model 501 has a nickel plated base, and the deluxe keys have a "T" handle that allows the key to be placed on its side and used as a straight key.
