Sunpak G 4500 Flash Gun

This Sunpak hammer head flash gun has been used only once and is in mint condition.

It has a 360 degree swivel head and tilts through 90 degrees.  The battery chamber is in the top of the head and it takes six 1.5V “AA" sized batteries.

The ISO ranges from 1600 to 25 ASA with operating f stops from f1.4 to f32. This is a powerful flash gun with a range spanning 0.7 m to 45m

Contact with the camera is made via a pc lead which can be plugged into a camera or into a slave cell when used off camera.

The gun has a built in thyristor and an auto OK light.  There is also a ready / test button for manual firing.

The camera attachment bar is removable and both the bar and the base of the flash gun have 1/4 inch tripod bushes so it can be attached to a tripod or stand independently.

The gun can be used with an A/C adapter but I neither have the lead nor the adapter, hence the gun needs to be used entirely with batteries.

The head of the gun is designed to accept coloured gels with a required attachment though these are not available and there are no gels with this gun.  However, you can use masking tape to place colours over the head which work equally well.

It is a great addition to a location kit supplying a powerful flash working remotely in difficult spaces where a full sized 240V head would not fit.
