This is a REALLY cool piece if you're a vintage Zenith collector. Zenith Captain Automatic in a stainless steel case featuring the renowned 133.8 caliber movement, dating the watch to the mid/late 1950s. The case measures 35mm wide excluding the crown, 45mm long from lug to lug, should fit an 18mm bracelet/strap. Case has some rusting/wear spots between and underneath the lugs (see pictures), but is otherwise in pretty good condition for a watch this age. Dial has developed a nice patina over the years, wih the Zenith logo and 'Captain Automatic' script still clear and legible.

Watch was actually still ticking when I got it, then stopped ticking after I opened it up. You can see it's missing a screw holding down one edge of that small bridge, but I didn't find any 'loose' screws rattling around inside, so I'm betting that's a factor in why it had been working and now isn't. A watchmaker should be able to get it back in good working order, but if you've already got a caliber 133.8 Zenith you need parts for, this would be a candidate for that as well.

The watch is missing its crystal, seconds hand, and the stick indicator at the 7 o'clock position, so if you're more minded to restore it than use it for parts, those 3 things will need replacing. But with a little bit of TLC, this could really shine right up.
