Marie Laurencin was a renown French painter and printmaker in Paris..... She was a prominent key figure in the the circle of Parisian avant-garde artists and writers from Max Jacob, Gertrude Stein, Cubist artists and friend of George Braque, Picasso, and exhibited works with Pablo Picasso, Cubists Jean Metzinger, Albert Gleizes, Robert Delaunay, Henri le Fauconnier, and Francis Picabia, at the Salon des Indépendants (1910-1911) and the Salon d'Automne (1911-1912), and Galeries Dalmau (1912) at the first Cubist exhibition in Spain....to Man Ray, the american avante garde photographer / living in Paris during the "glory years"
