Description Beautiful rare English antique early 19th Century Georgian solid sterling silver scent bottle case with original glass bottle by the silversmith John Turner (1797 - 1812) in good condition and with full English silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1802. Excellent quality and a genuine 222 years old; has an attractive decorative engraved silver case with a hinged silver lid and a sprung push-button lid opener and inside it is complete with its original faceted glass perfume bottle with tiny cork stopper. Scarce complete example and there are no added personal engraved inscriptions.

Measurements Measures approx 1.55 inches (39mm) in height x 0.95 (23mm) wide and is 0.55 inches (14mm) deep.

Date English antique Georgian solid sterling silver with English silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1802 (date letter "e") and has matching silver marks on the base and the lid. Hallmarks include the silver duty stamp of King George the Third and the silversmiths initials are "I T", (John Turner - 1797 - 1812).

Condition Good condition with no repairs and no nasty knocks or dents, just a couple of very minor little bruises, really nothing much at all and a very nice genuine antique Georgian example. The silver lid hinge and push-button lid opener both still work perfectly and the lid opens and closes tightly and securely. The original interior glass bottle is intact, (very rare to find), in good condition, very minor edge nibbles but no cracks or hairlines, has an old cork stopper. Beautiful early-dated English silver scent bottle case.

Please note this item shows with a matt finish just for the purposes of photographing, it has a typical shiny polished finish.
