The W.L. Adamson Co. (Wholesale Grocers), Dayton, OH
"A~C BRAND PURE SPICES CHILI POWDER "
3" x 2" x 1" Pry-Lid rusted survivor, partially full. Probably 1920-1930's. Pure Guess...
The ONLY reason this little guy is still with us is that it still has powder :-)
It has pinholes and larger rust top and bottom. The exterior is heavily rusted halfway up. Difficult to read.

The company started up in 1896. Mr. William L Adamson passed in 1915 but had two sons who could have carried on the business. There is little to be found about it online.

My grandmother passed in 2002 at age 101, living in the Mechanicsburg-Springfield, Ohio area her entire life. She may even have collected spice boxes..., but more than likely never threw any away that still had spices in them :-) Springfield is just northeast of Dayton. Best guess is that The W.L. Adamson Co. (A~C) had their own line of spices packaged for them or did so themselves.

As much as they were used in household cooking, and nobody was concerned about collecting them :-), most found their way to the trash and burn piles. This one is a survivor as it is not empty.

Shipping will be Ground Advantage same/next day.
Sincere thanks for visiting :-) Sincere offers will be entertained.
