1638-9 Charles I Milled Sixpence, Briot's 2nd Milled Issue, mm Anchor, Briot's Second Milled Issue, Sixpence, 1638-1639, Tower Obverse; crowned bust facing left, VI behind Reverse: shield over long cross fourchée 2.94g, 6h, mint.mark. anchor. Dark toning but clear details and portrait. Charles lost a civil war opposing his rule by what he believed was his divine right and he was executed publicly at Whitehall, London in 1649.
