Rare World Hockey Association Quebec Nordiques vs, New Jersey Knights Ticket Stub.

Feb. 3, 1974.

Very rare WHA ticket from a Quebec Nordiques home game against the New Jersey Knights.  As a founding member of the original WHA, the New York Raiders were intended to be the World Hockey Association's flagship franchise. In their inaugural season of 1972-73 however, the Raiders could not compete with the NHL's New York Rangers and expansion New York Islanders. They would only survive one season as the Raiders, before changing ownership and team name two more times, to the New York Golden Blades (20 games), then an eventual relocation to Cherry Hill, NJ to become the Jersey Knights (58 games). Three team names and two homes in less than two full seasons of operation.

This ticket stub is dated Feb. 3, 1974 vs. New York. Due to the changes in ownership and team names, this game would eventually be played against the New Kersey Knights. This stub represents one of only 58 regular season games the Knights team would play before folding at the end of the season. The team changed ownership and moved to California to become the San Diego Mariners.
