Vtg Japanese Shippo Cloisonne Paperweight

This is a vintage Japanese Shippo Cloisonne paperweight. The Shippo technique consists of glazing on top of a metal base. This paperweight has a gold color decagonal base and a beautiful emerald-green glass glaze. It has a gold color small handle where a string is attached to facilitate utilization. This compact paperweight is sold with its wooden box. This elegant and refined piece will make a perfect decoration on a home desk or on an office desk.

• Approx. 6.5 cm wide x 2.2 cm tall. Box approx. 8 cm wide x 3.9 cm tall.
• Good condition. Brown marks on the metal part. Discoloration and marks on the box. Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos.
• Acquired from a friend's home in Gifu, Japan
