RPPC postcard of a woman with a man in a top hat, sent from Lansing to Springport MI. Postmarked 1913. Humorous caption by sender above photo reads: "I think you are pretty swell to have a beau that wears a stove pipe hat. Ha Ha!".
Card is addressed to: Mrs. C. E, Van Black
Message reads: Dear Jennie, Well how are you and Charlie and why don't you ever write? I am still alive and J. W. has turned farmer boy. Come home... & come over when you can." There is some more there that I just can't make out including the sender's name.
Card shows handling wear and age discoloration. There is some scratching or pitting to the photo surface. Back shows foxing or staining.
