MATCHING PAIR OF CAST IRON GARDEN BENCHES with TABLE

Made in 1890`s, Coalbrookdale Quality 

         WITH:- Cast Iron & Mahogany Refectory Style Pub/Garden Table

The Benches are decorated with Roses (Tudor, York or Lancaster) & Small Dolphins within the scrolled frame on each end.

The Table is a traditional Victorian design with "turned" stretcher & scrolled braces under the top

These are Original, NOT Reproduction & to the best of my knowledge the ONLY two remaining.

RARE!

Downsizing, Relocation & Retirement make a sale sensible but sadly regrettable

All metalwork has been shotblasted & powder coated in a Satin Black finish

All woodwork has been newly Handcrafted to replicate original (sadly beyond salvage) using reclaimed Mahogany

The Mahogany has been hand sanded & finished with two coats of protective Danish Oil

All fixing bolts are new & zinc plated so anti rust.

The Benches are 80"/204cm long with 2.25"/6cm wide lathes with a radial arch upper surface.

The curve makes them very comfortable to sit on & also allows water to drain.

So even after a recent shower you should have a dry bum! Not guaranteed! ;-)

The Table Top is 54"/137cm x 21"/53cm with flat lathes, keeping glasses, cups & dishes "on the level"

Spilling Gin or Prosecco would be a terrible waste!

These were originally part of a collection from Bridgeholme Cricket Club, Eastwood, Todmorden.

The Rose design amuses me as Todmorden is on the Yorkshire/Lancashire border.

The Wars of The Roses have supposedly been over for several hundred years.

Or have they? On Saturday afternoons I sometimes wonder!

These are not constructed as my storage space is limited BUT this will make collection, delivery or shipping easier
