This item is a group of 2 antique vintage right-handed wood shaft irons. Included are a 37 1/2" length 44* loft D 4 brick face Spade Mashie and a 36 3/4" 54* C 8 vertical deep groove Niblick. Perfect scoring clubs for your play set. These were all made by Banner (a division of Kroydon) and are marked Banner on the back. The heads are in good vintage condition. They are clean and not all rusted. They do have the expected minor play nicks and dings. The niblick has some micro pitting. Please look at the many zoom pictures for a better idea of condition. The shafts all old hickories. The niblick has a noticeable bend and the other is straight. I see no cracks. They have play at the hosels. They both have old leather grips that have been waxed and whipped. A great unusual pair to collect and display with possible play potential.

If you are considering playing with this club all wooden shafted irons should be re-set prior to play. While I see no issues with the shaft (other than those mentioned above), I suggest that whipping be added just above the hosel to help prevent breakage. These wooden shafts often have hidden defects and are liable to break at any time. I do not guarantee wooden shafts against breakage when put into play. Never hit an old wooden shafted club off a driving range mat. Never hit an old wooden shafted wood with a hard range ball.

Shipping in the US is calculated and based on a 4-pound box. This item shipped UPS Ground. For those of you that never ship but only receive items, the further you are from me in NC the more shipping will be. That is the way the carriers charge. On top of that, eBay and takes almost 15% of what I receive for shipping (out of $10 I receive $8.50) and I would like to break even. eBay collects sales tax for many states. They charge me 15% for that service and I never see that money.
