RemixOS is an innovative operating system that brought the Android experience to desktop computers, combining the mobile operating system’s versatility with the power of a PC. Developed by Jide Technology, RemixOS was based on the Android-x86 project and allowed users to run Android apps on devices with x86 and ARM architectures. It featured a windowing system for multitasking, a taskbar similar to Windows, and support for keyboard and mouse input.
The OS provided a unique desktop edition of Android, adding functionalities that were missing in the mobile version, such as a file manager and system bar.
One of the best alternatives to Mac OS and Microsoft Windows operating systems.
