An antique Chinese Export Silver and Pearl Shell Tazza, Sweatmeats or Caviar Bowl made by the renowned retail silversmiths Wang Hing.


A natural pearl shell with a central silver ball in imitation of a pearl standing on silver bamboo canes and leaves.


It is 9.5cm tall and the shell is  17.5cm at its widest point. It weighs 200g. In excellent as-found condition, the silver has not been highly polished.


Wang Hing was the largest exporter of Chinese silver, based in Canton and Hong Kong in the last quarter of the nineteenth century and first quarter of the twentieth century.
