India - the land and the people
Common Birds is published by the National Book Trust, New Delhi, India.
Salim Ali and Laeeq Futehally have co-authored this book originally in 1967, to encourage and inform people in India to watch and learn about the birds around them.
Following the introduction there are short chapters on birdwatching, reproduction and migration. Then the next 101 chapters are about individual birds. There are coloured plates with drawings of the described birds.
