CloneZilla is a partition and disk imaging/cloning program similar to True Image® or Norton Ghost®. It’s designed to perform system deployment, bare metal backup, and recovery. CloneZilla comes in three types: CloneZilla live, CloneZilla lite server, and CloneZilla SE (server edition). CloneZilla live is suitable for single machine backup and restore, while the lite server and SE are designed for massive deployment, capable of cloning many computers simultaneously.
CloneZilla is efficient as it saves and restores only the used blocks in the hard disk, which significantly increases the clone efficiency. It supports a variety of file systems and can be booted on both BIOS and UEFI machines. With features like multicast in CloneZilla SE and Bittorrent in CloneZilla lite server, it’s suitable for massive cloning and deployment. CloneZilla also offers encryption and a range of boot parameters for customization, making it a versatile tool for system administrators.
