This beautiful Nantucket basket, numbered 209, was crafted by Edward J. Aisner (b.1905-d.1993) of Barnstable, Massachusetts. This basket was made in 1985 on Cape Cod. He was an apprentice under master basket maker Jose Formosa Reyes.

This 6.25” diameter x 3.75 high (to top of handles) handleless basket or container is in good condition. A piece of cane is loose on rim.

Mr. Aisner’s baskets don’t come on the market very often - this is a great opportunity to own one of his pieces.
