Florida state route 140 marker.

Up for sale today is this Florida state route 140 sign. Made to the exact 1923 state standard, as used between then and 1945 when all the highways were completely renumbered and the newer style route shield with the state map came into existence. These blue diamond signs were made both embossed and in porcelain. This sign is an exact remake of the porcelain style, printed on heavy steel with a great high gloss look to replicate the old school white on cobalt blue.

An original of these would cost many thousands of dollars if it ever came to the market. So here is your chance to own an excellent display piece, for just a fraction of the price.

The sign weighs about 3 pounds, 9 ounces, and is the correct size: 12 inches on each side. It is a high quality, heavy steel sign. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection. This one will make even the most discerning collector stick their nose into the sign, as it looks that good from that close!

I can of course make these signs with any route number of your choice, and not just this style, but older and newer ones, and even the classic mileage, direction, and city limit guide signs from the era. Anything you would like, made with unsurpassed quality right here in the good old US of A.
