This jacket appears to be from the 1980s and is made in the USA. It's a rare size 48, which is quite large. However, what makes this jacket truly special is the unusually wide spacing between the waistband adjuster buttons. This spacing is original and has not been altered. 

I've never encountered a piece like this before. Upon checking the factory code, it shows an "I". Alphabetical factory codes are typically from the 70s, but the red tab is small 'e', which adds to the mystery. The red tab is not cut, so it doesn't seem to be irregular. It might be an error piece that made it into circulation. Based on the denim color and texture, it's most likely from the 80s.

Another point of interest is that despite being a size 48, the jacket's length seems shorter, comparable to sizes 38 or 40. 

**Condition**:

- There is a repair on the collar, which is hidden when worn.

- Some areas show slight bleach-like fading, but it should not be an issue for vintage clothing enthusiasts.
