He had several USN ships named in their honor, including the missile destroyer, USS John Paul Jones DDG-53.

SS Oliver Hazard Perry was a 441 foot Liberty Ship built in Los Angeles by California

Shipbuilding and delivered on March 30, 1942. The proud new ship transported
