This listing is for a vintage or antique marmalade jar with frosted lion designs and and a lion atop the lid.
This line of glassware was originally made by Gillinder in the later 1800s, but the molds were later sold to L G Wright.
I acquired this piece and several others in this pattern at an estate sale held by the granddaughter of the woman who originally collected the pieces. According to the granddaughter, they are original Gillinder pieces, but it is possible that they are newer vintage, made by L.G. Wright.
The marmalade jar measures approximately 7" tall to top of the lion on lid x just under 3.25" in diameter.
CONDITION
USED - VINTAGE/ANTIQUE
There are chips on the interior rim of the lid - see last 2 pictures. No other problems.
