One of the rarest guitars in rock and roll history.

A Bill Lewis Custom!

Only approx 60 of these guitars were ever made.

This guitar was custom made in the late 60's or early 70's and sold out of the Bill Lewis Music Store in Vancouver Canada.

Out of the very few of these guitars in existence, many are owned by famous musicians or high profile guitar collectors.

The most famous user of these is David Gilmour of Pink Floyd. He has one that was used on many of their recordings including "The Dark Side Of the Moon" . Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton are also known to be owners.

I haven't seen one of these up for sale in over 10 years!

The reason these guitars are so special is the fact that they were carved out of a single piece of Mahogany. The build design and quality was revolutionary at the time. There is some pretty interesting info on these guitars if you do a quick google search.

Pickups were made in house by Jack Lewis, Bills Brother.. They each feature a switch to operate in single coil operation or as a humbucker.

Now down to the details on the guitar:

This guitar is an amazing playing instrument. It sounds great and is a joy to play. Action is comfortable and the tone and sustain you can get is mind blowing.

It was just setup and checked over by my trusted guitar tech who actually used to work in the same building these were made.

The guitar is in original unmolested condition. The finish and frets are original. Electronics are all original. Tuners are original. Even comes with the original case which looks to be a 60's Fender Jazzmaster case.

There are a few things to note.

1. there is some slight finish checking

2. one of the knobs is missing the rubber ring

3. There was an addition of a metal guitar pick holder on the back of the headstock. Looks to be taken from a Goya model 80. This was probably added in the 70's.....

4. There is a repaired crack on the bottom of the body. This was just epoxied and is solid. It does not go through to the top.

The guitar has some custom features which the details of which are written on the inside of the guitar cavity by the builder along with the name of the person it was made for.. Abalone dot inlays, Amber Finish and volume moved 3/4" closer.

This is a no issue guitar.

This is a once in a lifetime chance to own one.
