For sale is my Phase One P45+ Digital Medium Format Back for Hasselblad V Mount cameras.

I originally purchased this digital back from a studio photographer in Europe. To my knowledge, it has spent it's life entirely in a studio setting. Condition and function is near perfect. There are a few minor cosmetic dings but are only noticeable under close inspection. The sensor cover glass is clean with only minor wear on the mating surfaces. The buttons all function properly. I bought the original port dust cover from Phase One directly since it was missing when I purchased the back. The batteries all hold a charge. The charger is beat up but works, you may just have to adjust the power input slightly to make proper contact. These chargers can still purchased new if you so desire. It uses a pretty common Canon battery so you're not limited to the Hahnel charger by any means.

Before I purchased this back, I was not aware of the material and feel in the hand. It's quite deceiving in photos but the back is entirely made of aluminum and has a substantial feeling of density to it. The sensor cover is machined from a solid block of aluminum and has rubber feet so you can safely place the back down when changing between film and digital. These backs are nearly indestructible, there's no moving parts so you can feel confident buying these backs knowing they will work for years and years.

Be jealous of the Mamiya RB & RZ no more! The big draw of the Phase One backs on the Hasselblad V system is the ability to rotate the back to shoot vertically. This is done via a second set of latches on the side of the back that will allow you connect the back while rotated. The system functions wonderfully and is very valuable when shooting on the V system. This feature is not even included in Hasselblad's own digital backs for the V system making it truly unique.

The P45+ features a 39 Megapixel, 49mmx37mm CCD sensor. Commonly dubbed as a "fat pixel" digital back due to the huge pixel size. These sensors produce truly unique and vivid images that just ooze detail. You would be hard pressed to find comparable image quality in a modern system that does not set you back $10K++.

This digital back has been a joy to use and has given me so many beautiful images. I am truly sad to let it go but I know it will continue producing wonderful images for many decades to come.
