A beautiful and rare Waterman 42 safety fountain pen known as “Guido Reni” because the fresco “L'Aurora” created by the great painter Guido Reni in 1614 is reproduced on the cap. Produced in the second half of the 1920s by Italian goldsmiths under Waterman licence, it is in black ebonite with 18kr gold coating. with small wave motif on the body between two arabesque bands which are also repeated in the screw cap where the reproduction of "L'Aurora" is inserted with a flower in relief on the top and floral clip. The "Waterman's Ideal 18 k.r" logo is engraved on the edge of the cap. Original Waterman 14 kt. gold nib, size F, dropper filling, retractable nib by rotating the case back, working but the pen has not been filled with ink and may require intervention by your trusted repairer. Measures 4,72 inch. of closed length It has no hits or misses and appears to be in very good condition.

Una bellissima e rara stilografica safety Waterman 42 detta “Guido Reni” perché sul cappuccio è riprodotto l’affresco “ L’Aurora” realizzato dal grande pittore Guido Reni nel 1614.  Prodotta nella seconda metà degli anni ’20 da orafi italiani su licenza Waterman è in ebanite nera con rivestimento in oro 18kr. con motivo a piccole onde sul corpo tra due fasce ad arabeschi fasce che si ripetono anche nel cappuccio a vite dove è inserita la riproduzione de  “L’Aurora” con un fiore in rilievo sulla sommità e clip floreale.  Sul bordo del cappuccio è inciso il logo “ Waterman’s Ideal 18 k.r ”. Pennino in oro14 kt. originale Waterman misura F , caricamento a contagocce , pennino a scomparsa tramite la rotazione del fondello funzionante ma la penna non è stata caricata con inchiostro e potrebbe richiedere un intervento del vostro riparatore di fiducia. Misura 12, 2 cm. di lunghezza chiusa , non presenta colpi o mancanze e si direbbe in ottime condizioni.
