$20 1934 C Federal Reserve Note (FRN) PCGS 63PPQ Julian - Snyder
Choice New Fr. 2057-B New York B2
Serial No. B 38861479 B - Plate No. G138/462.

The $20 series with the big "TWENTY".  This is one with the Collectors Universe logo which is recognized by the current PCGS Banknote Grading as one of their own.  To be absolutely certain, you are encouraged to contact PCGS to verify this before bidding.  See additional notes below in this regard.  This particular one is fairly well centered front & back - There is very light some smudging the upper right-hand corner on the front & upper left on the back.  It has the look of being in a banded pack in a drawer where it was periodically counted a few times -- so circulated but not outside a counting drawer?

Please note due to a single isolated complaint over this since selling for over 20 years that the plastic holders will exhibit the appearance of fine scratches in them under certain lighting angles which is typical when they come back from the grading service; this may not show up in the photos or only under certain angles; this is typical of holders that are a few years old but do not affect the paper money itself as one can see.  Also, from holders being shuffled around and perhaps during being graded/holdered/shipped by PCGS they will tend to exhibit isolated light scratches which may or may not show up in the photos.  This particular holder does exhibit the above-mentioned scratches.

In addition, I have had an isolated complaint recently that the holders develop air bubbles sometimes while stored or being shipped--let it be known that the holders are not air tight like a mason jar and these may occur; the main purpose of the holder is to keep the note fresh and unfolded.   This particular one has the typical air bubble on the upper left side of the holder under the PCGS logo and additional ones may develop over time if sent via air cargo due the changes in air pressure and atmospheric conditions.  Bidders/Buyers agree that this is acceptable as one of the terms of sale.

Finally, this holder was issued 15-20 years ago and graded by the old PCGS Currency and therefore the serial # cannot be verified in the current PCGS Banknote database.  At least as of a year ago PCGS Currency will take these in and convert them to PCGS Banknote holders under the reholder rate.  This particular holder also has just a tiny bit of delamination of the green edge at the top of the holder just above the "C" in PCGS.

All Old Backs are highly collectible! and ones like this in near perfect condition are rarely seen.  There are very few sales of this particular $20 and those sold are typically in much less attractive condition/grade and/or at much higher prices.  The serial number and seal are more on the light green side (but not lime green) as is sometimes seen in notes from this era.  Please note that hold may have very fine scratches which are typical of the holders issued by PCGS and stored/handled occasionally.

Please take a close look at the photos and zoom in on each as we want you to be happy with your purchase.  As the majority of items listed are one-of-a-kind items, all sales are final; no returns.

Please note as landfills continue to be stacked higher each day, recycled shipping materials are used when available. Buyer agrees this is acceptable as part of the terms of sale.
