x<>Description: A long, stranded train must be pulled over a high mountain after its locomotive breaks down. Larger engines are asked to pull the train - and for various reasons - they refuse. The request is sent to a small blue engine that agrees to try. Despite the steep climb & heavy load, the blue engine slowly succeeds in pulling the train over the mountain while repeating the motto: "I-think-I-can". Despite her small size, she triumphantly pulls a train full of wonderful things - to children waiting on the mountain's other side. The little engine that could overcomes a seemingly impossible task.
Readers have been enchanted with the gentle magic of its reassuring words and charming pictures.

CONDITION  Hardcover (1954?) in Like-New to Very Good+ condition. Item resided in an indoor storage cabinet since 1980s. There may be some natural color aging in pages & covers from vintage printing. May have some spine wear; has minor corner & edge wear. May have a bit creasing on pages or covers. We tidied up book but there may be smudges. Binding good, pages secure. Delightful tale for young readers!

Generally, book also MAY  Have some shelf storage wear and edge or corner wear, a bit of cover or page creasing, smudges, slight curving of book/pages, tags or tape affixed, small page tears, minor darkening of pages at top, bottom, or fore-edges or covers, & cover color rubbing wear - though this may not be apparent to view in 14 photos.
