CDV - Unidentified 1st Lieut. 12th New Hampshire Vol. Infantry

An original, Civil War era used carte de visite from an album of 12th New Hampshire Vol. Infantrymen. No Photographer info present. Pencil notes on the back propose this officer could be Thomas E. Barker, but we do not think this officer is a match with Barker (see our listings for CDV with positive Thomas E. Barker I.D.)

The 12th N.H. Inf. would see plenty of action including the battles of Fredericksburg, Va.; Chancellorsville, Va; Gettysburg, Pa.; Wapping Heights, Va.; Drewry's Bluff, Va.; Cold Harbor, Va.; the Petersburg Campaign; and others. (see regimental engagements history in photos)

Condition is used, showing wear, smudges, spots, stains, etc.
