GUNNER AND THE DUMBO

BY LT. DWIGHT W. FOLLETT

Illustrations by Don Nelson

1945

The story of Gunner, a French Bulldog mascot and a B-25 crew, on a bombing mission in the Pacific during WWII. Gunner is the hero of the day when his plane is forced down and the crew evacuates to rubber boats. He detects enemy fighters approaching just in time for the men to hide themselves and all are saved by a Dumbo, (a naval patrol plane). Charming illustrations.

Unnumbered pages. Dust jacket and book in good vintage. Please view all photos as they best represent condition and details.
