This is a High-end PSA 8 Earl Averill card with nice corners, straight edges, and centering measuring 40/60 (L-R) in a clean, clear slab.

Averill played seven years in the majors without distinguishing himself as a great receiver or batter. He is one half of a father son tandem, his dad having played earlier in the century and achieving Hall Of Fame status. Averill is listed as a third baseman on this card, though he he played predominantly as a catcher, though sparingly for most of his time in baseball with several teams, after signing with Cleveland in ‘53.
