Description

High resolution and wide dynamic range combined in a small Color Block camera. Sony is strengthening its line of block cameras with the introduction of its new D version of wide dynamic block cameras. The SONY FCB-EX490E high resolution camera incorporates a ¼ type CCD with advanced Digital Signal Processing to reproduce clear and detailed images with an extremely high horizontal resolution of 530 TVL. The SONY FCB-EX490E features an 18x optical zoom. The SONY FCB-EX color blocking camera series is ideal for monitoring applications that require high performance.

SONY FCB-EX490E Features:

* Powerful and Versatile Zoom / Wide Angle View Capability The Sony FCB-EX490E camera incorporates an 18x optical zoom lens.

* High resolution images Combining a newly developed DSP with a 1/4 type EXview, the Sony FCB-EX490E camera achieves a high horizontal resolution of 530 lines and incredibly clear and detailed TV-output images.

* Wide dynamic range This new Sony FCB-EX490E camera incorporates advanced backlight compensation technology that improves the camera's dynamic range 128 times compared to previous FCB C-series cameras. This camera captures the same image twice: first with a speed shutter speed and then with a high shutter speed. Dark areas captured at normal shutter speed and bright areas captured at high shutter speed are combined into one image using advanced DSP that clearly reproduces the original scene. The wide dynamic range is ideal for lobby camera applications where the camera is displaying both people indoors and outdoors in parking areas within the same image.

* Video motion detection Within a screen divided into 12 horizontal and 8 vertical blocks, the Sony FCB-EX490E camera can detect a change in brightness within selected areas (up to 4 areas) and specify their position. The video motion detection function is useful for unattended monitoring / recording in security applications. The camera is viewing a fixed position and is capable of recording when an intruder is detected. An alarm signal is emitted through the Camera control interface using the VISCA ™ protocol.

* AE slow response function The new Sony FCB-EX490E camera is equipped with a slow AE response function to automatically reduce the speed at which the camera's exposure levels change. The speed can be set 32 times slower than when the priority modes (shutter / iris) are selected. This function is useful when monitoring areas where lighting conditions change abruptly. For example, if the camera is used to monitor the flow of night traffic When vehicle headlights are pointed directly at it, the exposure level of the camera is slowly reduced. This can allow users to monitor and identify essential parts of the image surrounding the headlights such as the car's license plate or the driver's face.

* Advanced spherical privacy zone masking with mosaic effect In addition to masking conventional colors, unwanted or prohibited areas within an image can be masked using a mosaic effect. A maximum of eight masking areas can be displayed on the monitoring screen. Also when this block camera is used with a Pan / Tilt / Zoom (PTZ) camera system the masked areas are interlaced with PTZ movements regardless of the camera angle or even if it is in circles. Up to 24 masking areas can be preset across the entire viewing range of the PTZ camera.

* Smart lens control (Sony Modular automatic lens reset technology) The new Sony FCB-EX490E camera incorporates Smart Lens Control technology that monitors the focus position of the lens during zoom and automatically compensates for any mechanical misalignment that may occur during long periods of continuous use. With the introduction of Smart Lens Control, lens initialization is no longer required in 24-hour continuous operation.

* Multi-line display Up to 11 lines with 20 characters per line can be displayed on the monitoring screen using VISCA commands. Users can freely display their feet on the screen, such as monitoring camera name alarm messages and providing operators with an easy-to-use interface.

* Freeze image The Sony FCB-EX490E camera is equipped with an image freeze function that allows a still image to be output while the camera panning down focusing the focus by initiating the lens
