Description - Delightful 19th century late Victorian good gauge solid silver snuff box of serpentine form with a hinged lid and floral scroll thumb piece

all sides embellished with impressive hand engraved decoration with a cartouche that has an inscription dated 1897

silver-gilt (gold washed) interior.

Fully hallmarked with anchor for Birmingham assay, lion passant indicating 925 grade solid silver, date letter "W" for the year 1896 and the maker's mark "C & C" which is Cohen & Charles.

Condition - In very good condition, hinge tight, interior gilding has some brightness but is thin.
