This is a Japanese WWll Army officer`s NCO sword in type 95 mountings.   The blade is shinogi-zukuri shape with bohi engravings, WWll time period ca.1940 era made blade.       The blade is in old polish, shows fine scratches but no rust and in good condition.       There is no bend, no nick, no crack and cutting edge is sharp.    

The scabbard is heavy metal scabbard, shows aged lacquer loss, tiny dents but no bend and in good condition.    The handle is tight fit with 95% original lacquer, no cut, no loose also in good condition.    The blade has serial number 名 83355 and scabbard has matching 83355 stamped.     Lock mechanism works fine.      It measures 27+1/2" tip to the guard, 26+1/4" cutting edge, 1+1/8" width, 5 mm thickness at the notch and 38" in mountings.
