First Edition, 1941, Wedgwood decorative plate with the recognizable Edme fluted edge, commissioned by the British War Relief Society in the USA to help in the war effort.  The front of the plate depicts the Houses of Parliament, Royal Palace of Westminter, where the House of Lords and the House of Commons meet.  Westminster Bridge is in the foreground, and Big Ben can be seen on the right.  The back of the plate shows the society insignia and gives a short history of the Houses of Parliament, one of the most memorable buildings in London.  The plate is in great condition, box stored, not displayed, no chips, cracks or crazing.  Great display item.
