Nice 19th Century Charles James Fox Medal Snuff Box

The 19th Century Charles James Fox Death Medal Snuff Box was issued in 1806 and designed by Peter Wyon.
Charles James Fox was a radical Whig politician who opposed the monarchy.
He served as the Foreign Secretary in Rockingham's short-lived government of 1782 and was the Secretary of State in the Duke of Portland's government of 1783-84.
He initially supported the French Revolution in 1789. Still, by 1804, he played a crucial role in bringing down the government of Addington, which had failed to preserve the peace or prepare for Napoleon's threat of invasion.
The snuff box is in very good condition with moderate surface wear commensurate with its age.
There is a slight indentation on one side of the medal's obverse, and age-related wear has affected the definition of the medal lettering.

It measures about 2.2cm H x 5cm in diameter.

It is in excellent condition for its age, with a small dent at the top.
It will need a good polishing. It comes in the original conditions as found.
Please take a look at all the photos for the condition.
