This pair of pierced and footed oval entree servers is a stunning addition to any collection. Made by Garrard in the early 19th century, the pair consists of oval trays with footed strands and tin hot water liners, making them versatile for any occasion. The piecework design and feet match the designs of Paul Storr who collaborated with Garrard during the 1820's. The stands are both marked "GARRARD'S PANTON STREET LONDON" on the underside.  The handles on the stands fold down.  The intricate Regence style and old Sheffield plate (early silverplate) composition make them a rare find for antique enthusiasts.  They each measure 16-5/8" long (13-1/2" long with handles folded down) x 9" wide x 3-7/8" tall.  They show a beautiful polished shine which could be enhanced further, if desired.  They are in beautiful estate condition with NO breaks, NO repairs and NO restorations.  One of the two tin liners lacks one interior ring handle.  They show only age appropriate signs of wear with a dent in the tray surface, shown on each, in the close-up photos.  Perfect for serving dishes or as a decorative item, these servers are a testament to the timeless beauty of antique old Sheffield plate.
