The presented corkscrew model is considered to be typically French🥐. An incredibly convenient, tactilely pleasant corkscrew made of boxwood🌳 at the end of the 19th century gained immense popularity not only in France, but also on the other side of the English Channel, where the British gave it the name "The Club". With minor modifications, this corkscrew was produced in Italy and Germany.

When the upper small handle rotates, the worm is screwed into the cork and the neck of the bottle rests against a wooden bell. Now turn the large knob in the same direction a couple of turns and the cork will pop out of the bottle😳. Simple, isn't it?
⚜️
A corkscrew is a fairly utilitarian thing and therefore you don't often find models in which so much soul and manual labor is invested. All the more pleasant is the choice of the French masters of the second half of the 20th century, who made this particular model in such an exquisite performance.
