As seen in photo. # 3, the tray bears the incised monogram of the artist.

There is a long history associated with the Raven in Nordic Culture.

They are revered and represent Wisdom, Prophecy and

 Cunning. 

The tray being offered is a heavy Gray stoneware...10 lbs.

It measures 11.5" x 11" x 2"h.
