The 1984 Swiss 5 Rappen coin features the "Libertas" design, which includes the profile of Libertas, the Roman goddess and embodiment of liberty, on the obverse side.

The reverse side shows the denomination "5" surrounded by a wreath. This coin is made of aluminum-bronze and is part of the smallest circulating denomination of the Swiss Franc after the discontinuation.
