Starsiege Tribes

This first-person perspective game sets tribe against tribe. Although single players can train and practice alone, the real heart of this game is its multiplayer design. This focus on working as a member of a tribe, together with dynamic graphics and seamless integration between exteriors and interiors make this game unique.

1,100 years have passed since the first Starsiege Following the first Starsiege, humanity split into two factions. Many chose to follow Caanon and the Emperor, rebuilding Earth and her colonies. The rest followed Harabec and, with the discovery of interstellar transfer conduits, or "jump gates," began branching out across the galaxy.

With the passing of generations, the gulf between the two factions has grown to vast proportions. The Great Human Empire has recovered and grown to great technological and aesthetic proportions, creating worlds of previously unseen beauty. They see the followers of Harabec as fallen angels, little more than barbarians, disdainfully referred to as "tribes."

Yet the "Tribesmen" wear this title with honor. Years of warring with Cybrids, Bioderms, Imperials and other rogue tribes has created a feared warrior caste. They view the Great Human Empire as decadent and decaying, and the Imperial Knights -- so dependent upon their technology and HERCs -- as soft.

Eleven hundred years have passed since the final Earthsiege. Hundreds of tribes exist scattered across the galaxy, exploring, discovering, and fighting for worlds. Ancient alien artifacts of great value and power have been discovered. New races have been found, cataloged, and in some cases, eradicated. For these people, war is a constant way of life.
