An interesting and rare pencil and watercolor on heavy paper painting by A. K. Verigo signed and dated in Cyrillic 1958, likely a theater costume design of a traditional Japanese woman, beautifully executed by a well listed artist who lived and worked in Moscow. The artist was born in 1924 in Odessa, graduated from a prestigious Surikov's Academy of Art in Moscow, and was one of the members of the famous Grekov Studio. The painting is in excellent vintage condition. Comes unframed. Size 11 3/4" x 8" or 30 cm x 20 cm. Matching watercolor of a Russian prince Ivan Tzarevich is being listed concurrently.
