You are buying a brand new Bowen Designs Marvel Comics Full Size Iron Man Original Gold Armor limited edition Statue. This statue stands 10 1/2 inches tall, comes ready to display, sculpted by Carl Sturges and Randy Bowen, and is fully hand painted. This statue is brand new, never been displayed or removed from the fully painted original box. This is a large and heavy statue. Released in 2000.

Iron Man aka Tony Stark first appeared in Tales of Suspense #39 published March 1963. With cover art by Jack Kirby and Don Heck. Then co-writer and editor in chief of Marvel Comics Stan Lee did not like the look of the Gray Iron man and had his armor changed to Gold in Tales of Suspense #40. Iron Man is one of Marvels oldest superheros and while he has undergone many changes over the years and the Gray Armor version remains as his original Armor which Bowen Designs has re-created in a Gray version statue this Gold version was in TOS #40 (April 1963) and also Avengers #1 (September 1963).

This statue is brand new, never been displayed, never been opened, never been removed from the box and has been stored in the original factory case since it was released. Bowen made 2 versions of this statue, there is the Gray version and also this Gold Variant edition. You will receive one Gold Version Iron Man Statue pulled from a factory case.
