CARE – Changing the Face of Need After 65 years of service, CARE is renewing its promise to assist people in the developing world achieve social and economic well-being. Whether it’s a girls’ education program in Guatemala or a health care project in Togo, CARE is committed to empowering communities worldwide. This series of jewelry was made to help support CARE International, which will receive 50% of all these sales. To find out more about CARE call 1-800-521-CARE. This pendant is made of toxin-free pewter reminds me of a charm bracelet. The bigger charm is a “washer” that says “Where there’s CARE, there’s hope”. It is .75” in diameter. The second charm is .5” in diameter with a lavender center. Wording on it says, “We Care”. Being an artist, I saw the washer as an opportunity to help, and the center piece as us fulfilling the need through our donations. They were made to hang separately, as you can see in the picture of the card. All are mounted on cards with a paragraph on the back about the mission of CARE in our world. I believe the designer used pictures of young mothers and children, which represent the most vulnerable in underdeveloped countries of the world.
