This is a killer design on a budget kit. You get excellent sound quality and performance in this compact bookshelf design. Don't let the small size fool you, this package will allow you to build a speaker that sounds much bigger than it is.
I'm not into B.S. once you complete your kit, you too will be amazed at how much larger the speakers sound. This kit uses the hardest hitting 6.5" woofer we have seen, it will give you bass perfomance of at least a 8" driver if not approaching that of a 10" woofer. All this in a budget prices component kit, high end sound, low end cost.
In the kit you get the components to fill a pair of two way cabinets. Two 6 1/2" woofers, two 1" dome tweeters, and two 2 way crossovers. You can download the line drawing to get a idea on how to build your .25 cf. cabinet. Go as simple and plain as you like, or as fancy as your tastes or pocketbook will allow.
Point is, this kit will sound like you spend hundreds of dollars on a great set of speakers. For me it comes down to, "If it doesn't sound good, I don't sell it." It's that simple. |
This is the same woofer that we use in our Mavin 6 Pack design, in that configuration, it goes so low that you can feel your ear drums flutter. That is a unique feeling, and tells you about the performance of this little woofer.
