Jager leaves Emblem

Description

The Jager Divisions were first set up in 1940 as light pursuit divisions. They were organised and equipped much like the Gebirgsjager troops but without the mountaineering equipment.

The Jager leaf insignia was introduced in October 1942 for all personnel serving in a Jager Division and to be worn on the right bicep. This is the EM/ NCO version, Officers were able to wear a higher quality hand embroidered patch.

Machine embroidered Jager Leaves in light green and mid brown thread on a bottle green wool backing with a green thread "twisted rope" border.
