Chod Rigs

Our ready-tied chod rigs really are perfection in a packet! Not only are they super-convenient, they�re also flawlessly tied. In fact, we�re not sure that any of our experienced chod-rig anglers, Danny Fairbrass included, could tie a neater version! Each rig has been tied to exacting standards, using the same knots and techniques that Danny uses for his own rigs. That means that each ready-tied rig has been constructed using Dan�s special whipping knot, which gives unrivaled neatness and allows the knot to sit perfectly on the shank.
  What�s more, rather than simply releasing one version, we�ve taken into consideration the fact that some anglers prefer short choddies, whereas others like a longer version, and released both types. So, if you like your choddies short like Darrell Peck�s naked chod rig or, you prefer them longer, like Adam Penning�s traditional leadcore rig, then you�ll find a rig to suit. The rigs are tied with Mouth Trap, which instantly places them above all the other ready-tied chods on the market, simply because it�s the most workable stiff-rig material ever! If your ready-tied chod gets knocked out of shape during a battle, you can simply work it back into shape. DF Carp Rigs

Who wouldn�t want to fish like Danny Fairbrass? Let�s face it; the head of Korda catches more than his fair share of fish of all sizes, home and abroad. Well, as of right now, you can get one step closer, by using the DF ready tied rig range, which are available from all Korda stockists. These rigs have been tied to the exacting standards that Danny insists on from tried and tested components. The hair length, loop size and amount of coating stripped back are exactly as DF himself would use, allowing you to take a giant leap towards carping success!
  So, what exactly is the DF rig? Well, it�s the rig that Danny has refined over the past decade, tweaking it and substituting new components as better technology has become available. It�s a versatile rig that can be used for straight boilie fishing or with plastic corn over the top of spodded particles. It�s a great hooker that lends itself perfectly to use with critically balanced presentations, standard bottom baits or pop-ups alike (with the addition of a split shot, Sinker or Dark Matter putty of course). It features all-time classic hook, the formidable Korda Wide Gape, with its secure beak and robust forging, coupled to the best coated braid out there, N-Trap Soft. Of course, the shrink tube is our finest Safe Zone stuff, and the rig rings are Korda through and through.

KD Rigs

These pre-tied KD rigs are a worthy addition to our ready-tied rig range, such is the popularity and effectiveness of this presentation. Korda was at the very heart of the KD-rig revolution a few years back, and the likes of Tom Dove and Ali Hamidi still use it, as well as its variant, the Muzza.
  So, with this in mind, we wanted to make sure that our ready-tied version was what we considered to be the ultimate KD on the market. After Tom tied and approved what he considered to be the perfect KD rig, we had it copied by our rig tiers. You�ll notice that each ready-tied rig has been meticulously produced, to Tom�s exacting specifications. The result is a range of rigs that Tom himself would happily cast out and use with confidence!
  The range, which numbers six rigs, is tied with proven Korda components, which include ultra-sharp Kurv Shanks and N-Trap coated braid. The range includes rigs with both barbed and barbless hooks, and in sizes that cover almost all eventualities. The KD range is available in hook sizes six, eight and ten and each rig comes with free Extenda stops and standard hair stops.

IQ D Rig

These new IQ D-Rigs are easily the most talked-about presentation from the latest Underwater films. Not only that but the rig�s inventor, Danny Fairbrass, has used it to great effect both at home and abroad in the last couple of seasons. He�s been steadily tweaking the rig to get it working perfectly, and you can benefit because it�s now available in ready-tied form.

It has to be said that Dan�s version of the D-rig can be a little daunting to tie, so we�ve taken all the complexity out of your fishing with these impeccably tied ready rigs. They have been hand-tied to Dan�s exacting specifications, even down to the whipping knot. The IQ D-rig is a fabulous rig to use for wary carp, thanks to its inherent stiffness and the superb anti-eject properties that the swivel sliding on the large D arrangement gives.

The IQ D-rig is perfect for use with a boilie approach and Dan nearly always uses it with one of his wafter hook baits, which just sit above the hook when on the lake bed. The rigs are available in barbed and barbless variants, and in sizes four, which is tied to 15lb IQ2, six, which is tied to 12lb IQ2 and eight, which is tied to 10lb IQ2.

Dark Matter Rig

A lot of thought has gone into this set-up, with Kordas Neil Spooner having used it for years to perfect it, and it is his take anywhere rig that he has used to great effect to land carp of all different sizes!

The Wide Gape hook pattern is incredible in terms of its hooking potential anyway, but has been enhanced even more by the addition of a short length of shrink tube that helps to make the hook turn even more aggressively when in a carps mouth, and a small piece of silicon tubing on the shank of the hook ensures the hair comes off at the optimum point.

The rig comes supplied with free extender hair stops, meaning that it is compatible with all different sized baits, and allows you to effectively change the length of the hair and separation between your bait and hook simply by using a different type of bait stop.

It is tied on Dark Matter braid which is heavy and sinks incredibly well, meaning that it hugs the contours of the lake bed - although being a braid it can help avoid any chance of a tangle if you add a PVA bag or stringer when you cast out.

Different breaking strains of Dark Matter braid have been chosen to make them suitable for the size of hook - with size 8 and size 10 rigs coming on 15lb breaking strain; size 4 and size 6 are on 20lb; and size 2 on 30lb.

All of the hook sizes come in a choice of barbed or barbless, and the other end of the hook link is finished with a size 8 swivel attached loop style, and this means that it will fit all the popular lead arrangements, and can also be used on the Kwik Link or QC Swivel.
