THE RIGHT BALANCE – Our product has the right amounts of all 3 essential nutrients your tomatoes need to grow healthy, plump and most nutritious! Plant growth and chlorophyll production depend on nitrogen, and phosphorus helps tomatoes grow and cope with stress while aiding in energy production. Finally, potassium fights disease, improves tomato quality and is also important to photosynthesis as well.

CONTAINS HELPFUL MICRONUTIENTS - Tomatoes need micronutrients, even if only in small amounts. Zinc, iron, boron, chloride, molybdenum, copper and manganese serve many purposes. Molybdenum, for instance, helps tomatoes efficiently use nitrogen, while zinc helps regulate growth and promotes proper sugar consumption. Boron also assists tomatoes in making use of nutrients and is also essential to the development of their fruit and seeds. All of which are contained in our specialised tomato feed!

ADDED MAGNESIUM FOR BETTER GROWTH - Magnesium plays a vital role in the tomato plant's sugar processing. Photosynthesis cannot operate correctly without proper metabolism. In fact, seed germination may not occur at all in a plant with a magnesium deficiency. By adding magnesium to our product it allows the tomato plants to gain nutritional balance for successful fruiting.

PREPARE YOUR SOIL – For the best results, make sure you test your soil’s pH and correct appropriately. To do so you can purchase Elixir® Bumper Crop Garden Lime, or Sulphate of Iron, to make your soil more or less Acidic / Alkaline. Secondary nutrients can be delivered through organic matter. Work things like grass cuttings and old leaves into the tomato's soil or spread them around the plants as a mulch. As they decompose, they will release more nutrients.

CAUTION: Always wear gloves when handling fertilisers, if inhaled get fresh air immediately. If ingested seek medical advice. If the substance gets in your eyes or on your skin, flush thoroughly with water for at least 15 minutes.

Bumper Crop Soluble Tomato Food | 100g - 25kg

Bumper Crop Soluble Tomato Food is a powdered feed that is fully water soluble and can be used at the rate of 1g per litre of water as soon as your first truss has set, feeding once a week. As soon as the third truss has set, increase feeding to 2-3 times a week. Not only are you getting a fantastic tomato food, you're also getting a very economical buy. Plant growth and chlorophyll production depend on nitrogen, and phosphorus helps tomatoes grow and cope with stress while aiding in energy production. Potassium fights disease, improves tomato quality and is also important to photosynthesis. These nutrients leach from the soil as tomatoes grow, so you must replace them, you can do so with our Tomato Food.

APPLICATION RATES:

The standard rate of dilution is 1 gram per litre, applying at 1 litre (diluted) per 1m². Although this is the standard rate, results can be varied. For sensitive species (or very young plants) the rate is reduced, typically, to 0.5g per litre. For vigorous plants which are fertiliser tolerant the rate can be increased, typically, to 2g per litre. These guidelines are an approximation only and you may need to adjust the mixture according to your own plants.
